A Treatment That Changes Lives
On October 21, Autism Partnership (AP) has invited 2 world-renowned speakers to share their professional expertise on ASD intervention with parents of children with ASD and professionals. The conference will explore the key breakthroughs with the potential to significantly improve the quality of life for those on the spectrum. Inspiring topics include “Early Intervention that Changes Lives” and “School Readiness for Children with ASD” will be discussed.
Five key themes will be discussed in the conference:
- School readiness for children with ASD
- Applying ABA principles in small-group teaching
- Utilization of clinical judgement in the AP Method
- Effective strategies in handling behavioral problems
- Teaching spontaneous communication and social skills for children with ASD

Dr. David Fischer Psy.D., CPBA-AP, BCBA-D, AP Behavioral Consultant Dr. David Fischer received a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University, USA, advised by Dr. Sandra Harris. He is a Certified Progressive Behavior Analyst – Autism Professional (CPBA-AP) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D). Since 1999, he has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and with individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability. He completed his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Marcus Institute in Atlanta, Georgia working in the severe behavior unit, short-term-out-patient clinic, feeding disorders unit, and early intervention clinic. From 2007 – 2011, he trained public school teachers to instruct and manage the behavior of their students diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder. He also was the clinical coordinator of the Asperger’s College Program, which provides support services to Rutgers students diagnosed with Asperger’s Disorder. Since joining Autism Partnership (AP) Hong Kong in 2011, Dr. Fischer has trained countless behavior therapists and provided clinical services to families in Hong Kong and abroad. Additionally, he has served as a consultant to AP Korea. He has delivered workshops and/or presentations in the United States, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Philippines, and Korea. He continues to receive training from the directors of AP. |

Dr. Fung Yiu Man, Raymond Ed.D, M.S.ABA, BCBA, AP Training Director Dr. Raymond Fung holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Bristol, a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University. His doctoral thesis explored Progressive ABA, Autism and Technology. He is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has been teaching individuals with autism and training professionals for over 23 years. Dr. Raymond Fung has been receiving ongoing training from Dr. Ron Leaf, Dr. John McEachin and their associates since he joined Autism Partnership (AP) Hong Kong in 2000. Since 2005, he has trained more than 500 behavioral therapists internationally. In 2007, he participated in the curriculum development for and AP School, the first and only primary school for autistic students in Hong Kong. In 2014, he developed 6 mobile applications for individuals with autism. In 2016, he created a school-based social skill program for local secondary students. In 2018, he hosted a radio program on RTHK with a group of adults with high functioning autism. Currently, he is the training director of AP Hong Kong, and the voluntary consultant of AP Foundation. He consults in China, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, South Africa, and Russia. Previously, he was the clinical director of 2 AP international offices, the conference chair of Hong Kong Association for Behavior Analysis, and a part-time lecturer of a master program in autism in Hong Kong Metropolitan University. In 2023, he published his book “Teaching Children with Autism”. |
